When you call for an urgent, on-the-day appointement, we may ask you to see one of our Advanced Nurse Practitioners (‘ANP’s’).

Advanced Nurse Practitioners are highly trained, qualified and skilled nurses working within the nursing profession. They have attained advanced degree level qualifications through an intensive and rigorous nationally accredited training programme, and usually specialise in one or two different areas of expertise.

ANP’s can undertake the following extended duties on behalf of a GP:
- Prescribe medication.
- See patients with undiagnosed, and complex medical conditions and make treatment decisions.
- Order necessary investigations.
- Refer patients to hospital or other parts of the NHS.

They are highly valued and skilled members of our team here at our practice and working with your GP and our other staff members, enable us to continue to provide first class health care for you - our patients.
