NHS England require that the net earnings of doctors in the practice is published. The required disclosure is shown below. The method they insist on for publishing earnings takes no account of how much doctors spend in practice and just becomes a number generated from average GP hours and net income. It can't be used to form any judgement or comparison of individual GP earnings! However this is what we are required to publish. Earnings have been very distorted this year by staff mix changing, income being deferred for spend in a different financial year and also merger costs.

For the last full financial year the average GP pay for 2017-18 for GPs was £72,000 before tax and NI. This is for 3 full time GPs 6 Part time GPs who worked in the practice for more than 6 months.
